FOPS - Retractable

The retractable FOPS (with type examination and ISO 10262 Category 2 certification) provides the highest safety standard for working with excavators, protecting the cabin and thus the operator from falling rocks and other hazards. The European patent for the frontguard slide-in system developed by ECHLE is registered under EP13156559.0.

The FOPS has a short, firmly bolted frontguard base, an upper frontguard part, which is fully retractable under the roof and the FOPS roof. The bracing of the frontguard in the lower position is carried out by tension locks, the locking in the upper position is ensured by a spring lock. In addition, there are 4 bolt-on points at the front and 2 bolt-on points at the back for the installation of headlights, which are simultaneously protected by the roof. The design is optimally adapted to the cabin shape. The FOPS assembly is carried out exclusively via existing screw-on points of the cabin and thus doesn’t require any adjustments. All items are sandblasted, primed and powder coated, which ensures an attractive appearance and corrosion protection.
