FOPS - Hinged

The hinged ECHLE FOPS fulfills all necessary regulations (type examination according to ISO 10262 category 2 for roof protection and frontal protection and applicable standards) to guarantee a holistic protection of the cabin and the machine operator. Conformity has been verified by field trials in accordance with applicable standards.

The FOPS generally consists of the FOPS roof and a Frontguard part that can be opened by gas springs to clean the windscreen (see illustrations on the right). The FOPS assembly is carried out exclusively via existing screw-on points of the cabin and thus requires no welding work. In addition, the protective structure has 4 bolt-on points at the front and 2 bolt-on points at the rear, which are used to mount headlights and are protected when mounted by the roof. The design is specially adapted to the cabin shape and fits perfectly into the overall picture of the machine. All parts are sandblasted, primed and textured powder coated, which ensures an excellent appearance of the grid and the necessary corrosion protection. Each delivered FOPS contains a detailed assembly instructions and a spare parts list will be enclosed.

For selected machine types, this FOPS variant is available as an "extra flat" version, which means that the overall height measures just about 20 mm, so that the transport height is only slightly increased.
